Whitefish Mountain Resort Reviews

Spent the day at Whitefish and had a great time. The trees were skiing really nice, with soft snow and a few spots that still felt fresh even later in the day. Groomers were smooth in the morning and didn’t have that sketchy icy feel, which was a nice surprise. It got a little windy up top here and there, but not enough to slow things down. Definitely one of those days where you’re glad you made the drive.

My kids had their first ski lesson it went so well. The instructor was super patient, and they made it feel really easy and fun. The kids loved it, so we’ll definitely be back.

I booked our lodging through Whitefish Mountain Resort and the whole process was smooth. I was in a excited mood heading into the trip, so that definitely helped set the tone. The room was clean and super convenient being close to the lifts. Check-in took a little longer than I expected, but it wasn’t a huge deal. Overall, it was a good stay and we had a nice trip

We ended up waiting forever for the shuttle, and nobody really seemed to know when it was supposed to show up. The driver was kinda rude too, which made the whole morning start off on the wrong note before skiing...

I felt comfortable skiing here overall. Ski patrol was visible, and most of the signs were easy to follow, which helped a lot. There were a few icy spots that I wish had been marked better, but depending on the conditions that day, I guess that can happen. For someone skiing at a normal pace and paying attention, it felt safe enough.

Parking was wayyy less stressful than I expected. We got in without doing endless laps around the lot, and the spot was close enough that we didn’t have to haul our gear forever. It made the whole ski day feel so much smoother.

I rented skis from Whitefish Mountain Resort for a weekend trip, and overall I was happy with how it went. I was in a good mood heading into the day and just wanted something easy and reliable so I could get out on the mountain without overthinking it.

The skis were in nice condition and felt tuned well enough for normal runs. The bindings looked clean too, and I didn’t run into any issues while skiing, which is really all I was hoping for.

The only reason I’d give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the boots felt a little packed out and weren’t super comfortable by the end of the day. Still, everything worked fine, and I’d probably rent from them again

Overall it was an okay day, but a couple of the lifts were running slow and it got a little frustrating. The staff was nice enough, but I also got transferred around when I tried to ask about what was going on, which was annoying. Not a terrible experience, just not as smooth as I was hoping.

Spent the day at Whitefish and the trail signs were what stood out to me the most. They were easy to see, clear, and saved us from accidentally ending up on runs we had no business being on.
I’m not great at reading mountain maps, so that helped a ton. I’d asked support ahead of time about getting around and they basically said, “you’ll be fine, just follow the posted signs,” and they weren’t wrong. Even when it got crowded, finding lifts and easier routes was surprisingly simple. I’d definitely come back...

The runs felt choppy when I went, so it just wasn’t really worth making the trip back for me lol.

I had a good day at Whitefish overall, but I was expecting it to feel a little more laid-back. By late morning the lift lines were getting long, and it started to feel crowded. The runs were fun once we finally got moving, but the wait times took away from the experience a bit for me.

Am I the only one who felt like the terrain at Whitefish got kind of repetitive? I was disappointed. After a couple laps, a lot of the runs started to feel really similar. If you’re hoping for a solid mix of steeps, cruisers, and fun little features, it can get old quickly. I could see it being fine for a day, but I wouldn’t plan a whole trip around it. For a mountain that size, I expected a lot more variety.

In my experience, Whitefish was a really pleasant place to spend the day. The staff stood out the most to me, everyone from the ticket window to the lift crew was friendly and easygoing. I asked a few questions along the way, and nobody made me feel like I was bothering them, which I always appreciate.

I’d probably land at 4 stars just because a couple of the lines felt a little slow at times. But overall, the people working there made the whole day feel relaxed and welcoming.

There were food places all over the mountain, which I didn’t really expect at first. I kept thinking we’d have to plan ahead or hunt something down, but somehow there was always an easy spot nearby. Not totally sure how we never ended up hungry, but we didn’t.

I grabbed our lift tickets on Whitefish Mountain Resort and thought the prices were reasonable, especially compared to some other mountains I checked out. The site made it really easy to see which dates were available and what each day would cost, and there weren’t any annoying surprises when I checked out. We got a full day in with plenty of runs, so it felt totally worth it. I’d definitely book through the site again.
